Ahsoka Season 2 premieres January 20, 2027. But the most important thing in it isn't Thrawn, and it isn't the New Republic — it's three statues on a mountainside in another galaxy, and a story Star Wars started telling in 2011.
Here's everything confirmed about Ahsoka Season 2, and why the Mortis gods point straight at Ahsoka Tano specifically.
⚠️ SPOILERS for Ahsoka Season 1, Star Wars Rebels, and the Clone Wars Mortis arc.
WHAT'S CONFIRMED
• January 20, 2027 on Disney+, 8 episodes
• Dave Filoni wrote all eight
• Rory McCann takes over as Baylan Skoll following Ray Stevenson's death in 2023
• Zeb Orrelios and Admiral Ackbar in live action for the first time
• Hayden Christensen back in a larger role
• Filoni has confirmed the Mortis gods will affect the season
WHAT ISN'T
Whether the Mortis gods appear on screen, and in what form. What Baylan does with what he found. Whether the two galaxies reconnect before the finale. Whether the black-eyed Nightsister warriors in the teaser are the resurrected dead — that one is a fan theory, not a confirmation. And there's still no word on release cadence.
I keep those separate on purpose. If it's a theory, I say so.
