Gehra Hua (Sufi Version) | Arijit Singh | Dhurandhar | The Raga Projekt

All versions in one place: hyperfollow.com/theragaprojekt Some songs are love stories. This one is a vow. When we sat with "Gehra Hua," we found something hidden in Irshad Kamil's words. "Tu agar meri... main hoon tera" isn't flirtation. It's an oath. And in our culture, an oath ties an invisible thread between two souls. We even have a word for that thread. Dor (डोर). The original is a magnificent film production. So we asked a different question. What happens if you take this vow out of the cinema hall and set it down inside a mehfil, a candle-lit gathering where music isn't performed, it's summoned? So we rebuilt it the Sufi way. A live-session heartbeat of dholak and handclaps. Harmonium breathing beneath the verses. Strings swelling like a rising dua. And a voice that doesn't sing at you, it surrenders, the way qawwals surrender, because this song was always a prayer wearing a love song's clothes. And at the bridge lives the original's most beautiful secret. A pure Hindustani sargam (Ni Sa Ga Ma...) tucked inside a modern film song. In our mehfil, that sargam turns into a call and response between the voice and the instruments. The moment the words stop, and the thread itself begins to sing. This is "Gehra Hua" the way you've never heard it. Not louder. Deeper. 🎬 THE STORY Follow the crimson thread (the Dor) through the chapters: 00:00 Iqraar (The Vow Is Spoken) 00:43 Hawayein (Everything Becomes Yours) 01:12 Inqalaab (Love as Revolution) 01:43 Gehra Hua (The Colour Deepens) 02:30 Farishtey (Even Angels Ask About Her) 03:16 Sargam Ki Dor (The Duel of Strings) 04:18 Jalna–Dhalna (To Burn, To Melt) 04:52 Dariya Dua (The Vow Becomes an Ocean) 🙏 FULL CREDIT AND LOVE TO THE ORIGINAL CREATORS Original Song: "Gehra Hua" from the film Dhurandhar (2025) Singers: Arijit Singh and Armaan Khan Music: Shashwat Sachdev Lyrics: Irshad Kamil Film: Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar Music Label: Saregama All rights to the original composition and lyrics belong to the original artists and label.
