Airport（1990）90s Japanese City Pop

（Tonchinkan） ―― English ―― Winter, 1990. Narita Airport before dawn. A designer at a small studio in Aoyama, she is leaving for New York to chase her dream. The nights on the rooftop, counting airplanes across the dark sky. "That's where it's gonna start," she said, smiling. A coffee shop at dawn — a plane ticket on the table, the coffee growing cold. At the departure gate, she looked back just once. If he had said "Don't go," maybe she would have stayed. He let his hand fall before it could reach her. The morning he watched her plane take off. Alone in the rain, he looks up at the sky. "So take your road, I'll take mine. I'll keep you in the light." A song of a man who let her go — a farewell that looks forward.
