Thunder on the Roof — Rain Sounds for Sleeping, Cozy Car & Thunder

You pulled over at the edge of a dark pine forest just as the storm rolled in, and now there is nowhere left to be. The doors are shut, and you've made your bed on the back seat under a thick oatmeal blanket. Through the wide windshield the rain comes down through the blue night, past the tall pines and the faint shape of distant mountains, and drops gather on the glass. Between the front seats a small battery lantern glows amber beside a dark green thermos, and your green bag rests next to you. From the rear-view mirror hangs a little soft vinyl bird, dry and warm in here, its eyes already closed for the night. Right above you the rain drums on the roof of the car, and far off the thunder rolls low and slow — now and then a little closer, never sharp. Thunder on the roof, and you warm and dry beneath it. Now sleep. 3 hours of rain on a car roof with deep, rolling thunder — no music, no sharp cracks, no interruptions. 🌧 What you'll hear • Rain drumming on the car roof right above your head, soft and muffled with the doors and windows shut • The hush of rain falling on the wet grass and the forest just beyond the glass • Deep, distant thunder rolling slowly across the sky — now and then a little closer, never sharp • No wind — just rain on the roof and the storm rolling by outside 🌙 Good for • Falling asleep warm and dry in the back of a car while the storm rolls by outside • Anyone who loves thunderstorms, car camping and sleeping in a car in the rain • Masking traffic, neighbours or a restless mind • Studying, reading or unwinding on a stormy evening The first 7 seconds fade in gently so the sound never startles you. Set your volume low — this soundscape is mixed quiet on purpose, like actually lying in the back of that car, with your blanket pulled up and the thunder rolling by overhead. This scene and soundscape were carefully crafted and sound-designed for rest — every raindrop and every rumble of thunder balanced so nothing pulls you back awake. Good night from the little bird. 🐦 🔔 A new rainy night every day — subscribe here:    / @pouringcalm   Rainpip merch (mugs, tees, blankets & more): https://pouringcalm-shop.fourthwall.com #rainsounds #thunderstorm #carcamping
