Madhuban Mein Radhika | Rafi | Naushad | Cover Song | Sounak | Live | Australia

Hello friends, time to celebrate the 98th Birthday of the great Rafi Sahab. Thought of sharing this live recording with all of you from my collection. This was recorded live at a programme in Perth, Australia, probably during my visit there in 2018. I do intend to share a few more of the recordings of this programme later on. But for now, it is time to celebrate the Rafi Magic. As always, I belive that no one can ever replicate what the "golden voice" had performed, but for a 'Rafian' like me, it is the sheer joy of living the experience, that encourages me on to sing these and share with all of you. Musicians in this performance were - Surajit Chakraborti : Keyboards Premendu Ghosh : Tabla The audio for this performance was digitally remastered by Goutam Basu at Studio Vibrations. The video has been beautifully edited by Indrajit Das. One last word of caution for students and connoisseurs of Raag music ! The first two sargams have been essentially taken from the original song, which do not exactly conform to the Raaga rules of Hameer, (neither do they need to!) the Raag on which this song is based upon. The Hameer chalan is somewhat different, just mentioned, just incase..... !!! Cheers ~ S
