Close Call Chasing the Sandersville Railroad EMD SW1500 an

An afternoon in Sandersville and Tennille, Georgia find several Sandersville Railroad crews switching. The shortline operates about 10 miles of track, including some street running, and has their engine house in downtown Sandersville. Their entire roster is switchers and slug units, and almost all their traffic comes from the paper/forest industry. This video follows EMD #1300 and #91 and SW1500 and slug as they bring in cars to the yard, and move some onto Norfolk Southern. We catch an extra crew pushing cars into the yard, with slug #90 and SW1500 #1500 . Much of the railroad's roster is ex-NS power. You will also see a couple of historic buildings in Tennille.
