Pine Mountain Club to Gorman, California

Along the San Andreas Fault (part 2 of 2), continuation of    • Cerro Noroeste Rd to Pine Mountain Club, C...   Driving along Mil Potrero Hwy, then we turn onto Cuddy Valley Rd, which becomes Frazier Mtn Park Rd to the I-5 junction in Gorman. Through Cuddy Valley, the San Andreas Fault parallels the road to the right, including a sag pond visible on the right where the animals are grazing at 7:03. We then cross the fault at 8:14 as the line of the trees delineates the fault. At 10:51 compare the colors of the rocks of the North American plate on the left and the Pacific plate on the right; we are atop the fault here. At about 12:20, the Garlock Fault splits off to the left en route to define the Tehachapi Mountains via Lebec, California.
