A walk through Zrenjanin, the largest city in Banat, in northern Serbia. Filmed on a Saturday afternoon in late September. Zrenjanin was called Veliki Bečkerek for most of its history, then Petrovgrad, and has only had its present name since 1947. A fire destroyed almost the entire town in 1807, so what you see today is a 19th-century city built on the ashes of an older one. No narration, no music. Just the sound of the street.
