CRUISE 5 WITH DAVIS KANSENZA OF DAVINA FURNISHERS

Meet the man behind Davina Furnishers. Together with his wife Christina, Davis set up Davina (which is a combination of Davis and Christina) out of a garage of the house they were staying in at the Lilongwe Technical College. The company has now grown significantly employing more than 50 carpenters and other staff. Davina continues to make various pieces of furniture mostly using locally sourced materials and using local labour. It got a boost when it was contracted to provide furniture for Heads of State who attended the 41st SADC Summit in Lilongwe in August 2021. Davina continues to grow and future plans include opening a Carpentry and Joinery school as well as a modern and bigger workshop in Lilongwe.
