Flute music inspired by Japanese forests and quiet shrines. For focus by day and rest at night. New videos each week.
A late-autumn night in a tall bamboo grove just outside the old cedar forest. Straight green stalks rise out of sight on both sides, and a narrow mossy path, covered with fallen bamboo leaves and a few red maple leaves, leads into the depth of the grove. Cool silver moonlight falls between the bamboo in soft beams through thin mist and stripes the path and the moss. A little way down the path stands a small weathered hokora on a mossy stone base, a single warm light glowing inside, and one deep red maple beside it glows in the dark. On the near side of the path lies a flat patch of soft green moss.
One hour of a night in the bamboo grove — twelve quiet variations, "A Flute in the Moonlit Bamboo Grove." Tonight the shinobue flute leads, moving a little more lightly than usual, with a koto close beside it as it flows on; even and unhurried from beginning to end.
For deep sleep, relaxation, quiet reading, and rest after a long day.
