#PanjaGali #Torghar #PakistanTravel Islamabad to Panja Gali, Torghar — a mountain journey through the Hazara Motorway, Tanawal Valley, Parhana–Shergarh Road and Shungli Bandi into the mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The journey from Islamabad took around six hours, gradually changing from motorway travel into green countryside, narrow winding roads, forests, rivers and mountain streams before finally reaching Panja Gali. Panja Gali sits at approximately 2,233 metres / 7,326 feet above sea level in Torghar District. On this journey, the road itself became as important as the destination, with the landscape changing constantly along the way. After leaving the Hazara Motorway, we turn towards Tanawal Valley and continue onto the Parhana–Shergarh Road. The route takes us near the Siran River, through Parhana Bazaar and onwards towards Shungli Bandi. From there, tree-covered roads, flowing mountain streams, forest sounds and changing mountain views lead us deeper towards Torghar. We stop along the way, make tea surrounded by the sounds of the forest, fly the drone and then continue on the final stretch towards Panja Gali. At Panja Gali, we explore the area on foot and from the air, look towards the Indus River, stop for another cup of tea and end the journey beside an old tree overlooking the mountains.
