Our FIRST Time at the Renaissance Fair

Hello everyone! In this video, you can come along with us on our first time at the Renaissance fair! It was so much fun although we were a bit anxious at first, we hope you enjoy it. Keep in mind, the renaissance faires in the U.S. are a bit different than in Europe. The faires here are modeled after markets that took place during renaissance period, but began as a counterculture response to life during the Cold War. They are not meant to be historically accurate to the renaissance period in Europe. The originators of the pleasure faire created this haven for people who were black listed by Hollywood or suspected communist for refusing to sign a loyalty oath during the second red scare.
