Southern Pacific 4449 Daylight Anderson, CA to Redding, CA 1986

Back in 1986 the Southern Pacific Daylight came through Redding on a Monday and I was stuck in class at Shasta High School. My non-railfan dad went out with the family video camera and chased the SP 4449 north from Anderson to Redding in some pretty crummy weather. For some long forgotten reason, there was a long slow order from Anderson to Girvan (the siding just south of Redding) that allowed for an easy chase and multiple run-bys. Please excuse the shaky camera and sometimes goofy commentary. This tape is very precious to me since my family had to put up with my train insanity for years. Thanks for this video, dad!
