[Xillia 2] Ludger Solo: Exoplasma

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now here's a boss I didn't think would even be possible in this run format, given his infamous gimmick of being able to absorb every element and attribute. There are two intended ways to go about this boss: 1. Use Power Charge 3. Yes, really, the official guide even recommends this instead of actually dealing with Exoplasma's gimmick. That should speak for itself. 2. Let Exoplasma make two copies of itself with Freedom Gaze in exchange for 25% of its' HP. The clones have much less HP than the main body and are weak to different elements. Provided you didn't heal the main body by hitting it with anything, you need to do this 4 times minimum to clear the main body. I'll be frank, I see no way I can do the second strat in a way that would make for a watchable video. I've tried quite a few times and it usually devolves into Falling Snow kiting for like 5 minutes straight or air camping. But Ludger has a third way of approaching this boss, thanks to CS and its typeless attacks bypassing the absorbtion gimmick. In additon, Exoplasma has no Iron Stance, which is a double edged sword for CS, but mostly positive as it allows air Azure to loop him indefinitely. I don't get to talk about the CS skills much, but they're crucial to making this work. • Kresnik 1 and Break-In combined give me +15 seconds of CS time. • Kresnik 2 slows down the timer by 50% as long as I stay in the air. • Overdrive is a taunt that doubles the amount of time I can stay in CS. All these together give me about a full minute of CS time, in an ideal scenario like shown here. Raw CS usually has piss poor DPS though, so how am I gonna nuke a boss with 1 million HP without Lv200 EASY MODE with MAX herbs? By leveraging all the skills and equipment I have: • CS Lv4 doubles Ludger's base stats, including boosts from skills and equipment (excluding weapons). • Azure Edge and the MA both scale equally off of phsyical and magic attack; INT is just as valuable as STR here. • Double Damage from Grade shop is a must • Soba Omelette increases both offensive stats by 20% • Skills like Sky Soldier (+25% damage when in the air) and Down Burst (+40% damage to downed enemies) are sizable damage increases. With all the equipment options and skills Ludger has access to, he can get his base stats to a very respectable amount. And that isn't even getting into Crisis Boost (I'm surprised I didn't have to use that one at all tbh...). No overleveling or herbs needed. The combo kinda speaks for itself, I loop Azure into air up normal to stay in the air and maximize Kresnik 2's time bonus. The timing on it is pretty tight, but I found that it's more lenient if I'm behind Exoplasma (hence the sideswap early on).
