Can we talk… about HPV? HPV is incredibly common, but conversations about it can still be filled with confusion, stigma, and misinformation. So on this episode of CRxOWN Talks, we’re talking about it openly. I’m joined by Dr. Brenice Duroseau, PhD, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, AAHIVS, to break down what you really need to know about HPV, vaccination, sexual health, and cancer prevention. We get into questions like: Who gets HPV? What does a positive HPV test actually mean? How does HPV lead to certain cancers? And why should both women and men care about prevention? We also talk about: The HPV vaccine — who needs it and why HPV transmission and why infection is so common Screening and prevention The connection between HPV and certain cancers Myths, stigma, and conversations we need to normalize How providers can better educate and empower their patients Because HPV shouldn't be a conversation rooted in shame. It should be a conversation rooted in knowledge, prevention, and protecting our health.
