Carousel of Progress Is Getting Its Biggest Update in Decades

Carousel of Progress is getting one of the biggest transformations in its history. Disney has temporarily closed the Magic Kingdom classic and is rebuilding the show's timeline with new decades, new technology and a new look at the future. The updated attraction is scheduled to debut in late spring 2027. Disney says the new version will move through 1969, 1985, 1999 and a possible-future finale, while adding a new opening featuring a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic. But updating Carousel of Progress creates an unusual problem: how do you modernize an attraction about progress without losing the history that makes people care about it? #CarouselOfProgress #MagicKingdom #DisneyWorld
