Frankie Archer's chilling take on the traditional folk ballad Lucy Wan Lucy Wan, also called Lizzie Wan, is a traditional murder ballad that appears in Scottish and English folk song collections as early as 1776. The ballad describes Lucy crying as she finds out she's pregnant with her brother's child. In traditional versions of the song this leads to Lucy's brother murdering her and getting away with it. Frankie Archer re-works this to give Lucy power and a voice, with a haunting soundscape and piercing words. ______________________________________ Editied by Peppe Coniglio @exportframe3403 ______________________________________ Frankie is a folk fiddler and singer who creates explores traditional music by fusing electronic and traditional sounds using sampler, fiddle and voice. ______________________________________ See what else I have going on ➽ https://linktr.ee/frankiearcher Follow me: Instagram ➽   / frankiearchermusic   Facebook ➽   / frankiearchermusic   Bandcamp ➽ https://frankiearcher.bandcamp.com/ ______________________________________ "Chilling...
