This beginner-friendly recipe is simple to follow and perfect for Ganpati Bappa’s bhog and prasad. ✨ 🥥 Easy Modak Recipe 👩‍🍳 Beginner-Friendly 🙏 Perfect for Ganesh Chaturthi 🍚 Homemade & Delicious 🐘 Great for Ganpati Bhog & Prasad 🥥 Ingredients For the filling 1 cup fresh grated coconut ¾ cup grated jaggery ½ tsp cardamom powder 1 tbsp chopped nuts (optional) For the outer covering 1 cup fine rice flour 1¼ cups water 1 tsp ghee Pinch of salt 👩‍🍳 Method 1. Make the filling Cook coconut and jaggery on low heat for 4–5 minutes. Add cardamom and nuts. Let it cool. 2. Prepare the dough Boil water with ghee and salt. Lower the heat and gradually add rice flour, stirring continuously. Cover for 5 minutes, then knead while warm until smooth. 3. Shape the modaks Grease your hands with ghee. Take a small dough ball, flatten it into a thin disc, and make small pleats around the edge. Add the filling and bring the pleats together at the top. 4. Steam ♨️ Place modaks in a greased steamer plate and steam for 10–12 minutes. When they look slightly glossy, they’re ready! 🐘 Beginner’s Tip Don’t let the dough dry out. Keep it covered with a damp cloth while shaping. If cracks appear, knead in a few drops of warm water.
