How did Christianity spread throughout the world? And how our Lord Jesus Christ chose His disciples and prepared them for their mission. Jesus did not choose people because they were the most qualified, powerful, or perfect. He chose simple people who had faith and a willing heart. Through His grace, He worked in their weakness and made them strong. As Saint Paul said: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 🤍 Even when we feel unworthy and weak, God can work through us when we surrender our lives to Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ spent 30 years in the flesh, then prepared His disciples for 3 years and a half. After His Resurrection, He ascended into Heaven after 40 days, and after 10 days He sent the Holy Spirit to empower them. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, they were sent to preach the Gospel, baptize all nations, and bring people to salvation. Characteristics of the Apostles’ Service and Discipleship: 1️⃣ Deep Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ ✝️ The disciples trusted completely in Christ’s words. Saint Mark went to Egypt depending only on the Lord, carrying the message of salvation with faith and courage. Today, Christ has given us His Church, where we receive the grace of baptism and grow in our faith. The deeper our faith becomes, the stronger we can fulfill our mission. 2️⃣ A Clear Goal and Mission in Life 🎯 The disciples had one purpose: to spread the Kingdom of Heaven. Sometimes many distractions take our focus away from God. We must remember the words of Saint Paul and keep our eyes on the heavenly goal. 🌱Let us learn from Saint Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to His words. We should always choose what is most important: being close to Christ. 💡Let us examine ourselves: If we spend one week without Holy Communion, what happens to our spiritual life and our mission? 3️⃣ Humility 🤍 All the Apostles were humble. Saint Peter showed humility when he did not consider himself worthy to be crucified in the same way as our Lord Jesus Christ. 💡The more we humble ourselves, the more we imitate Christ, who is the perfect example of humility. 4️⃣ Love and Sacrifice for All People ❤️ The Apostles served with great love and accepted hardships for the sake of Christ. They considered it an honor to suffer for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ because their love for Him was greater than any difficulty they faced. 💡As disciples of Christ, we must remain faithful to our spiritual life: • Prayer • Reading the Holy Bible • Living with Christ through the Church ⛪ Weekly: • Attend the Holy Liturgy • Receive the Holy Communion 🤍 Monthly: • Confession and spiritual guidance • Offering our tithes and supporting the Church 5️⃣ Living a Life of Discipleship 📖 Discipleship is not only for a season; it is a lifelong journey until our last breath. A true disciple always learns, grows, trusts, and remains united with Jesus Christ.
