Interview with George Campbell, livestock haulier and farmer on the Isle of Skye.

With the recent calf sale in Portree on the Isle of Skye last week, I thought it timely to post this video. This time last year year I caught up with George Campbell and his son Christopher on their farm at Drynoch on the west of the island. They were weaning their calves and taking them to the local sale at Portree as well as picking up other calves at Torvaig. I watched them and others through the ring. It was a flying trade with buyers from Aberdeenshire to the Borders. Later in the year I travelled to the Black Isle with George, loaded with island cows to be wintered on the mainland.
