According to police, a group of young people were splashing water at people passing by when they reportedly attempted to splash a 53-year-old man. An argument allegedly followed, and Nyathi was fatally stabbed. The suspect, who is reportedly known to the family as a neighbour, has appeared before the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge. The case was postponed until September 8, and the suspect remains in custody. Nyathi's family is now calling for justice as they mourn the loss of their 21-year-old son.
