This Week in Volcano News; 6 New Vents Erupt at Kilauea, Lokon Earthquakes

In Hawaii, 6 new vents (largely fissures) formed and erupted at Kilauea this week. Elsewhere, in Chile, the Nevados de Chillan volcano erupted anew, sending a plume of ash above its summit. And, in Indonesia, the Lokon volcano produced an increased rate of earthquakes over a several day timespan. Today's video will discuss these stories through the opinion and analysis of a geologist and list the 46 world volcanoes that are actively erupting. Thumbnail Photo Credit: N.
