Lyrics: Happiness is a fragile thing, I think A quiet shadow to the sun She completely hid her face from me Now the fog is finally lifting She's sitting here, the warmth between us running Through the fading lights Building the world in the flash of the night The year grows short and the pace slows down The storm clears out of this quiet town And I say, "Welcome... pull up a chair, Basking in the afterglow, stay right there." I won't look back with a bitter heart Or chide the sweetness for a delayed start The road was heavy, the shadows long But this late vintage is sweet and strong The year grows short and the pace slows down The storm clears out of this quiet town And I say, "Welcome... pull up a chair, Elusive creature, stay right there, Basking in the afterglow."
