Elton John - Burn Down The Mission - Live in New York 1999

Now, since I saw that mrterryb101 uploaded footage from the two solo shows that stand out from almost every other show, I was so thrilled. And then I realised: I have the sound for these shows in a perfect soundboard recording, so why not syncronise the video with the sound? Yeah why not. Mrterryb101 gave me the permission to re-upload some of the songs from the shows and the shows concerned is, of course, Elton's solo shows from Madison Square Garden the 15th and 16th of October 1999. What I basically did was that I ripped the footage from YouTube and then I used Windows Movie Maker to syncronise the footage with my sound source. I think the result of that operation is fantastic as you can hear the crystal clear sound and now -- for the first time in the history of Elton (of course apart from when the show was progressing) -- you can both see and hear what is going on at these fabulous shows. About the very song in this clip: This version of Burn Down The Mission was recorded on the first night (15th of October) and shows why Elton is the king of the piano. This version of the song is a top 5 version for me -- both Elton's vocals are in top as this song is in a pretty high key, and he manages to sing it wonderfully without any mistakes. And his piano playing in the improv section is a prime example of why I miss this song in the solo set now-a-days.
