He Is Awake, So You Can Sleep | 3 Hours of Ancient Psalms for a Peaceful Night's Rest

"Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." When the house goes quiet and the lamps are out, Psalm 121 is still true: someone is awake on your behalf, and you do not have to be. These thirty Psalms are sung softly over ancient harp and move like a long evening prayer. The first hour gathers the Psalms of shelter, from Psalm 4's quiet confidence to Psalm 91's covering wings and the green pastures of Psalm 23. At the center of the night come the songs of trust, where Psalm 31 places our times in His hand and Psalm 61 leads us to the rock that is higher than I. The closing hour turns inward and soft: Psalm 90 calls Him our dwelling place in all generations, Psalm 131 settles the soul like a weaned child, and Psalm 139 reminds us that even the darkness hideth not from Him. "When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches." (Psalm 63:6) LISTEN DURING: Dimming the lights at the end of a long day • Lying awake in the small hours • Rocking a child back to sleep • Resting beside someone who is unwell • A quiet night prayer before turning over the day to God TRACKLIST: 30 Psalms for the Night Watches (King James Bible) 00:00 - Psalm 4 | Rest Without Worry 07:19 - Psalm 121 | The Watchful Keeper 14:39 - Psalm 91 | Beneath His Wing 21:21 - Psalm 23 | Green Pastures 28:17 - Psalm 46 | Still Waters Within 34:49 - Psalm 3 | My Shield Tonight 41:48 - Psalm 27 | Hidden In His Presence Tonight 49:21 - Psalm 34 | Taste And See, Then Rest 56:36 - Psalm 62 | My Rock And My Rest 1:03:35 - Psalm 63 | Satisfied In The Night 1:10:56 - Psalm 16 | My Portion At Night 1:17:55 - Psalm 31 | My Times In Your Hands 1:24:41 - Psalm 37 | Rest In His Timing 1:31:36 - Psalm 55 | On The Wings Of A Dove 1:38:42 - Psalm 56 | Trusting Through The Night 1:45:07 - Psalm 61 | Rock Higher Than I 1:51:51 - Psalm 71 | My Hope Since I Was Young 1:59:17 - Psalm 84 | Better Is One Night 2:06:02 - Psalm 86 | Teach Me Thy Way, Let Me Rest 2:12:33 - Psalm 90 | Our Dwelling Place Forever 2:18:48 - Psalm 94 | He Upholds Me When I'm Weary 2:25:39 - Psalm 103 | He Knows Our Weary Frame 2:31:58 - Psalm 107 | Settled After Wandering 2:39:02 - Psalm 116 | Return To Your Rest, My Soul 2:45:52 - Psalm 118 | On This Quiet Night 2:52:52 - Psalm 130 | Waiting In The Choir Of Night 2:59:16 - Psalm 131 | As A Weaned Child 3:05:12 - Psalm 138 | He Will Finish What He Began 3:11:56 - Psalm 139 | Fully Known In The Dark 3:19:05 - Psalm 143 | Teach Me, Then Let Me Sleep 🙏 PRAYER Keeper of Israel, You do not slumber, so tonight I can. Each track is a creative, prayerful reflection on Scripture, not a recitation of it, written to accompany the last quiet hours of your day and the long stretches of the night. ✍️ HOW THESE SONGS ARE MADE Every album begins with a theme and a handful of Psalms chosen for it. We adapt the lyrics from the King James Bible and shape each song with the help of AI tools, and the images are prepared with the same care. Then we listen, select and put everything together until the whole night feels like one prayer. This music is offered as a devotional companion for your rest and your quiet moments with God.
