We finally explored Wells, Somerset properly ... was it worth it??

After our first visit to Wells - where we only had 90 minutes to explore - we knew we needed to come back and see much more. This time, we’ve returned to Wells, Somerset for a longer stay, giving us the chance to slow down, explore beyond the usual sights, discover some hidden corners, enjoy the atmosphere and really experience this beautiful little city. From the magnificent Wells Cathedral and historic streets to the Bishop’s Palace, local shops, cafés and the surrounding area, this visit gave us a very different perspective from our first whistle-stop trip. So, after spending considerably longer in Wells, is it somewhere we’d recommend staying rather than simply visiting?
