Yeah, I was brain dead Unasked questions remained unknown No more seeking answers on my phone And I'm just left sitting here all alone Yeah, I was brain dead [Verse 2] No more searching for dinners to be fed While I'm laying around in my unmade bed What else can be said? I was brain dead The charger was broken to my phone How could I make it on my own? [Chorus] But when the screen went black, the light came in The Holy Spirit stepped right on in! Serving as a witness to the mighty things That God has done through His Son and King! Jesus Christ broke through the dark Put a fire right back inside my heart! [Verse 3] It is through the Holy Spirit we are able to stand To testify of the good things across this land Yeah, the good things God has truly done Through the grace and the mercy of His holy Son! Now we preach the message of Christ to the world From a broken phone to a flag unfurled! [Chorus] When the screen went black, the light came in The Holy Spirit stepped right on in! Serving as a witness to the mighty things That God has done through His Son and King! Jesus Christ broke through the dark Put a fire right back inside my heart! [Bridge] The Holy Spirit empowers us every single day Enables us to preach effectively and lead the way Yeah, he gives us the strength to stand up tall And perform miracles if need be, through it all! I don't need a signal, I don't need a cord I'm reconnected to the power of the Lord! [Outro] I was brain dead, yeah, I was losing my mind But look at the glory that I had to find! No more phone, just the Spirit instead Yeah, I was brain dead But now my soul is fed! Amen!
