EP 343 Garden and willow orchard update.

There is always something going on with each project. For now I have to keep the root zone of the willows clear. They don't like competition from the grass and weeds. I bought those rods from Vermont Willows, but they had me bury them only a few inches. I should have used a 3-4 foot piece of rebar to make a hole about 3-4 feet deep for the rods to go into the ground. I would have initially gotten much deeper roots growing. My other challenge now is to improve the chemistry, organics and biology of the soil in the root zone of each of these willows.
