Griffins Handle Business in Paradise Friday night lights under the Alvin Nagasako Stadium in Kapolei, the undefeated Kapolei Hurricanes would seek to continue their dominant start as they hosted the Griffins of Los Alamitos. Coming off a win last week for the Griffins, a trip to paradise to handle business is what they wanted to get. Both teams would strike back to back in the beginning, but missed opportunities and mistakes is what got the Hurricanes a little comfort room. The Hurricanes took the lead into the half and had a 10 point lead in the 3rd. Although dealing with the Hurricane in paradise, the boys from Los Alamitos mounted a comeback till the final seconds. The Griffins RBs were the key players that they depended on to open up plays and gain yards. Junior RB, Kamden Tillis, found the end zone twice along with his late touchdown to pull themselves closer to a comeback. A late fumble by the Hurricanes on their own 5 yard line, gave the Griffins the opportunity to close out the game with a game winning field goal with just 11 seconds left.
