Zangetsu - "The One I Wanted To Protect" | An Epic Bleach: TYBW Tribute [Lyrics Video]

For all this time, Ichigo believed Zangetsu was teaching him how to become stronger. But the truth was far more painful. “The One I Wanted To Protect” is an emotional cinematic rock tribute to Zangetsu — not simply as the source of Ichigo's strength, but as the two forces that lived within him, challenged him, restrained him… and ultimately protected him. Old Man Zangetsu hid the truth and suppressed Ichigo's power because he feared where the path of a Soul Reaper would eventually lead him. The white Zangetsu fought him, wounded him and terrified him, yet again and again became the instinct that refused to let Ichigo die. Two sides of the same soul. Two different forms of protection. And between them stands Ichigo. This song is built around one of the most emotional revelations in Bleach: Old Man Zangetsu never truly wanted Ichigo to become a Soul Reaper. He simply wanted him to survive. Yet after watching Ichigo endure every wound, overcome every fear and continuously risk himself for the people he loved, even he could no longer suppress his pride. “I never wanted you to weaken, I only wanted you alive.” ⚔️ Character: Zangetsu / Ichigo Kurosaki 🔥 Anime: Bleach 🎵 Song: The One I Wanted To Protect 🎸 Genre: Cinematic Anime Pop-Rock 🖤 Themes: Protection • Identity • Acceptance • Sacrifice • Inner Strength Sometimes protecting someone means standing between them and danger.
