P1457 EVAP Leak Diagnosis and Repair for FREE - Honda Acura Shut Valve Purge Valve

If you have a P1457 Code on your Honda/Acura (and many other mfg's since Denso makes these valves) I will show you how you can re-build them at zero cost. This is usually due to a leak in the EVAP system where metal due to moisture starts to scale and make the surface where the o-ring goes imperfect. I use a scotch brite pad with water (very mild compared to sandpaper) to smooth the surface out and take away the scaling. Re-assemble and chances are you leak will be gone and you will not have to find a new valve. If you were to buy a valve from a boneyard you may end up buying one with the same exact issue anyways.
