Everything you wanted to know about Psychoeducational Assessments But were afraid to ask

Dyslexia BC hosted the BC Association of School Psychologists (BCASP) on October 5, 2026 - Everything You Wanted to Know about Psychoeducational Assessments (but were afraid to ask). The session was facilitated by Dr Benton Dorman, EdD. NCSP School Psychologist and Dr Simon Lisaingo, Ph.D. Psychologist. The session was about 1 h 33 min and discussed the how and the why psychoeducational assessment are done in BC Schools. They touched a bit on the early literacy screening that is being done in BC schools. They suggested that the screener are not being used to their potential. They could be used for progress monitoring to help direct instruction and currently they are not. The video is informative and is great for parents and educators to watch!
