UPDATE - WATCH THIS :    • I FU*KED UP.   I Love Testing GUITAR PEDALS! A pilgrimage to J Rockett's audio mancave resulted in a very thorough exploration of various boost and overdrive pedals. The big surprise was the AIRCHILD compressor pedal! Hang out with me while I route pedals in different paths to find the best gain staging and tone combinations, then totally confuse myself into tonal bliss! TIPS: YouTube has some unfortunate audio features that might be turned on by default - you can find them in the GEAR icon of your playhead : STABLE VOLUME (their version of a digital compressor), VOICE BOOST (an AI vocal isolator and boost), and AMBIENT MODE (an annoying feature that no longer puts black around the video in Fullscreen). TURN ALL THIS CRAP OFF, otherwise the real mix in showcasing these pedals will be digitally altered by YouTube. This goes for all videos showcasing audio samples, mine or otherwise.
