Manila to Melbourne - Philippine Airlines - PR209 - AIRBUS A330 {Full Flight}

Join us on this final leg of three flights getting us back to Australia thru Manila. A crazy Manila airport was frustrating as we had a four hour delay. We believe this delay could have been avoided had we not had to wait around for the airline to manually check everyones bag. Literally every passenger had to be brought to a back room down an elevator shaft so that their bags could be checked in front of them for security. It's nice to know that security is taken this seriously, however, this was an absolute mess. The airline couldn't find peoples bags. We personally waited in the room for one and a half hours while they searched for our bags. They only found one, and then claimed that the other two were back on the x-ray belt. We had to sign a waiver for the airline to search the bags when we were not present and they promised to send the bags the next day. We were so upset, and tired, and frustrated at this terrible experience. And as it turned out the bags were never checked, and they also were not left on the x-ray belt. They were on the plane and arrived in Melbourne safe and sound!! The whole exercise was a complete waste of time!! We spoke with the airline staff and they said that this occurs daily. And I am not an expert but if I was the airline I would simply schedule the flight 4 hours later so that everyone could get their check done, have a drink and a rest, and get on the plane on time. Instead passengers waited on the aircraft for 4 hours! As they waited for each passenger to get checked. A terrible amateur mistake in our opinion and a huge reason we would not recommend using Philippine Airlines for this journey, even though the rest of the flights were not that bad. We reached out to Philippine Airlines for some type of monetary resolution and suggested a later flight schedule to solve this issue for passengers and of course we were met with a fluff reply and no monetary relief. A very poor PR bit from the airline in our opinion. The exterior of the plane was dirty and therefore the window was dirty and this made for very tricky filming especially at night. Nonetheless, it's incredible to get in a machine and fly from the remote Philippine islands into the south of Australia.
