Hobao Pirate MT Rebuild... Who wants a monster truck with no tires anyway??

I have to admit, I only bought it because it was silly cheap, it wasn't until I tried to find tyres I realised why.... nobody on earth makes any that fit. If you have the same problem with your 1/8 HoBao Pirate then maybe you should watch this for the solution.... if you don't have or want a 3D printer, there are people out there that will 3D print these parts for you and just post you the completed parts. Before I resorted to 3D printing wheels I tried stretching clodbuster tyres over Pirate wheels and its just too much stretch. even if I had managed to get both sides on it would have eventually split I'm sure of it. Anyway, as always, please don't expect to see me fire it up, all of my engines are stripped and rebuilt, cleaned and the bearings are coated in fairly thick oil to keep them from rusting. Nitro fuel draws in moisture and makes things rust. It also goes sticky and gummy after a while, this is why I don't run the cars. I restore and keep them in my collection. I certainly don't have the time to run them around my schedule as father to 2 small children and carer of 1 who is disabled. I enjoy them as statics and I hope you get a kick out of seeing them like new again, maybe inspired to restore yours or repair it using techniques I have shown here. All sequences are sped up 16x so if you slow it down 16x you should be able to see how it goes back together to a degree. Tools used in this restoration include - Basic hand tools 30L Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaner (Dish soap, citrus preferably, 60ml to 30L water) Elegoo Saturn 3 resin based 3D Printer Anycubic Mega Pro FDM 3D Printer.
