Lincoln parkrun #558 14th March (not April! 🤦‍♂️) 2026 🐻‍❄ BEWARE THE BEAR & LION in the woods! 🦁 Jim's 86 🎂 Claire's 400 🏃‍♀️ Congrats to Claire on her 400th parkrun, 371 at Lincoln! Happy 86th Birthday to Jim!! Fairplay to Rob the Lion 🦁, training for charity, in April's Lincoln 10k. Bear is a very fluffy white first-timer dog btw! (Sorry, yes I initially put April on the Title Screen not March, d'oh 🤦‍♂️) And my phone got reformatted so this one is in SD camera quality, not HD or 4k. I will try HD next time. Might be a good balance... https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lincoln/ https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lincoln/re... https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lincoln/news/ and Facebook Reports:   / lincolnparkrun   It's not a monetised 🤑 💰 channel, or a competition for most views, and I won't be retiring anytime soon! 😅 & is not about me, but just a bit of fun for the benefit of those who attend, & is a celebration & record of everyone's efforts & fun on the day. 👏 So it isn't particularly short & sweet - but you know where the ⏩ Forward button is! It's great to see so many waving 🙋‍♂️ and smiling (or grimacing 😬 and gurning) thank you, & enjoying themselves. Can you spot yourself, or your loved one, pal (/deadly-rival 😅) ? Anyone who doesn't want to be on (for whatever reason, none required 🙂), please just let me know, or mention it to the RD. 🙂 I'm quite easy to spot! 🤩 or message me e.g. via Facebook messenger from my regular video posts on the Lincoln parkrun page. I've included some screenshots from the Lincoln parkrun website that you can just pause on to read at leisure. See the links above ^ Sorry for when there's my fingerbobs obscuring the lens occasionally, oops 🤦‍♂️ D'Oh! Also, sometimes when going through the woods, the picture can give an 'underwater' rippling effect. Apparently this is when there's just too much detail (e.g. all the leaves) for the camera to process all the pixels in a reasonable high quality, with its limited memory. Seems better now I've reduced the frames per second from 60 to 30. Hope you like the bit at the end of the pond life on Boultham Park's fabulous lake with the various wildfowl : ducks, swans and gulls etc. 🦆 🦢 🐦‍⬛ The gulls are often all lined up on the rail and spectating this week's parkFun 😄 Cheers, Anthony 🏊‍♂️🚴🏃‍♂️‍➡ Mahoosive thanks to the 22 volunteers who made Event #558 happen: Jim ARAM Run Director Event Day Course Check Lincoln Wellington AC Dd BELLIS First Timers Welcome UK parkrun tourists Thomas GOSLING Timekeeper Fiona VENTRESS Timekeeper Steve BULLEYMENT Number Checker Vicki CHAPMAN Finish Tokens Imogen MUNFORD Finish Tokens Tony BELLIS Barcode Scanning UK parkrun tourists Ian CALLAGHAN Barcode Scanning Lincs Run Club Simone MUNFORD Barcode Scanning June BRAMMER Marshal Angela CALLAGHAN Marshal Lincs Run Club Paul CHARMAN Marshal Mark CLAY Marshal Liz OGLESBY Marshal Rod OGLESBY Marshal Sandra PURDY Marshal Chris BRACCHI parkwalker Lonely Goat RC Jane-Marie BRACCHI parkwalker Lonely Goat RC Catriona ADAMS Tail Walker Betty STRACEY Tail Walker Lincoln Wellington AC Lincoln CHAPMAN Pre-event Setup
