A story about five Indian migrant workers who had left their homeland in search of a livelihood abroad, and now their safety is uncertain and their whereabouts, unknown. On April 25, five workers from Jharkhand’s Giridih district were abducted by armed gunmen in the conflict-hit Tillabéri region of Niger, West Africa. They’re still missing. We decided to head to Giridih to speak to their families caught in grief, confusion, and painful uncertainty. Will this video change anything in the grand scheme of things? We don’t know.
