Nostalgic Playthrough Samurai Warriors 2 XL Nagamasa Azai Stage 3 - Defense of Odani Castle

Historically, Odani is known as the grave of the Azai, as most of its members did not survive the fall of the clan. The few exceptions include Kazumasa Isono, Keijun Miyabe, and Sadayuki Atsuji. Kazumasa later went into hiding in Kii and lived out the rest of his life peacefully, leaving the chaos behind. Keijun eventually served Hideyoshi, while Sadayuki joined Mitsuhide. However, in this version, the stage is altered significantly. Nagamasa launches a counterattack and successfully pushes back the Oda forces, with the Asakura also joining the effort against Oda. This shift highlights the full ferocity of the Azai, as they manage to drive the Oda army into retreat despite their earlier disadvantage.
