Ground Report: An anti-encroachment drive is underway across nearly 100 acres near Race Course Road (Lok Kalyan Marg), close to the Prime Minister’s official residence in New Delhi. Structures across communities are being cleared, with the government arranging alternative housing for displaced families. Notices have been served to clear unauthorized structures, including two temples and a mosque. Despite action being taken on administrative grounds, claims have circulated framing the demolition as targeted against a Waqf property. Authorities maintain that the structures stand on unauthorized land. What is the ground reality of the demolition, flat allocations, and notices served to these religious sites? Sanjay Rajput brings you the full Ground Zero report.
