When all the lights suddenly went out in our Brinkley Z3100 5th wheel, we knew we had an RV electrical problem on our hands! Because the lights operate on the RV’s 12-volt electrical system, Mike started troubleshooting to figure out exactly what had failed. In this RV repair and RV maintenance video, we walk you through how Mike used a Harbor Freight multimeter to diagnose the problem and determine that the WFCO 9855AD power converter had failed. After identifying the bad RV converter, we made a quick trip to Camping World to pick up a replacement and then tackled the WFCO converter replacement in our Brinkley Z3100.
