Rain, Wind, and Alaska's Spring

Spent a couple nights up at Cooper Lake while Alaska’s “spring” kept throwing rain, wind, and snow back at me. The roads were still icy and snowy in spots, the lake was mostly frozen, and the weather changed by the hour. I built a couple campfires, settled into the Vanagon for the night during the rain, watched a movie while the wind picked up outside, and woke up to another cold morning in the mountains. Before heading back down for a doctor’s appointment, I heated up the RockPot stone by the fire so dinner would be ready later without much work. Just another few days living out here in Alaska — changing weather, quiet campfires, frozen lakes, and life inside the Vanagon. ❄️🔥🚐
