Welcome to another unforgettable adventure through the mesmerizing landscapes of Meghalaya – the Abode of Clouds! In this vlog, I take you to two of the most spectacular viewpoints in Northeast India – Nongjrong Viewpoint and Laitlum Canyon. 📍 Nongjrong Viewpoint is one of Meghalaya's best-kept secrets and is famous for its magical "Sea of Clouds". The best time to visit is before sunrise (around 4:30 AM – 5:30 AM, depending on the season) so you can witness the first rays of sunlight painting the clouds in stunning shades of orange and gold. On clear mornings, it truly feels like you're standing above the clouds, making it one of the most surreal sunrise experiences in India. 📍 Laitlum Canyon, whose name literally means "End of the Hills" in the Khasi language, offers breathtaking panoramic views of deep valleys, rolling green hills, and traditional Khasi villages nestled far below. Located about 25 km from Shillong, this viewpoint is a paradise for photographers, trekkers, and nature lovers. The best time to visit is during the late afternoon (around 3:30 PM – sunset) when the golden light beautifully illuminates the canyon and creates unforgettable views. The weather here changes quickly, with mist and clouds drifting through the valleys, making every visit unique. Whether you're planning a trip to Meghalaya or simply love discovering hidden gems, this video will show you why Nongjrong and Laitlum deserve a place on every travel bucket list.
