The mystery surrounding the attacks on the Horde continues in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne – The Founding of Durotar. After meeting Jaina Proudmoore, Rexxar returns with her to the human settlement to uncover the truth behind the attacks and find out what happened to the missing Alliance forces. But the settlement is no longer under human control. The entire fortification has been overrun by the Naga. Rexxar and Jaina waste no time clearing the area, hoping to find surviving soldiers who can confirm exactly what happened. If Jaina can witness the destruction for herself, perhaps she can finally understand that the Horde was not responsible for the attacks. The Naga threat, however, is far from over. Before Rexxar can reach their lair, the party encounters a powerful enraged creature blocking their path. After defeating the beast, the journey continues toward the Naga stronghold. The deeper they travel, the more dangerous the opposition becomes, with Murlocs and Naga warriors attacking from every direction. The serpentine warriors prove to be formidable opponents. Their powerful abilities push Rexxar, Rokhan, and Misha to the limit, and there are several moments when the party comes dangerously close to being overwhelmed. Eventually, Rexxar and his companions reach the heart of the Naga lair. The remaining defenders are defeated, but the victory comes with an unsettling discovery: there appear to be no surviving humans. Just when all hope seems lost, a badly wounded Alliance Footman is discovered near the edge of the Naga stronghold. Seeing Jaina alive, the soldier is visibly relieved. He speaks of an Admiral who will be overjoyed to learn that Jaina has survived. But who is this mysterious Admiral? Why is Jaina suddenly so eager to return home? And what does the Naga attack have to do with the growing conflict between the Horde and Alliance? The investigation is becoming more complicated with every step.
