Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo , located inside The Dubai Mall, one of Dubai’s major marine-life attractions and one of the world’s largest suspended aquariums. It officially opened in November 2008 as part of The Dubai Mall. The centerpiece is a spectacular 10-million-litre aquarium tank containing more than 140 species and hundreds of sharks and rays. Visitors can walk through a 48-metre-long, 270-degree acrylic tunnel, giving an immersive view of sharks, rays, groupers and thousands of other aquatic animals swimming overhead and around them. There are three themed ecological zones:Rainforest: featuring animals such as piranhas, giant catfish, otters, water rats and reptiles. Rocky Shore: showcasing animals adapted to coastal and rocky environments, including interactive touch experiences and Living Ocean: highlighting marine life such as sharks, rays and colourful reef species Animal Encounters: Penguin Encounter, Otter Encounter, King Croc, Ray feeding and encounters, Bird, Reptile Encounter & more. Dubai Aquarium displays over 33,000 animals from 300 species, including 400 sharks and rays. The aquarium also features a 48-meter-long, 270-degree glass-enclosed shark tunnel, similar to the one at the Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium is divided into three zones: rainforest, reef, and ocean. The top floor houses an underwater zoo featuring crocodiles. This largest crocodile is called "King Croc."
