I'm So Excited - Nadi

On a misty New York evening, Nadi walks through the softly falling rain toward the Blue Lantern, the jazz club that has become her musical home. Tonight is special. It's the anniversary of her very first performance there. As headlights shimmer through the haze and flowers glisten beneath the streetlights, memories return of a younger Nadi, nervous and uncertain, preparing to sing before an audience for the first time. *“Then the band began to gather 'round And the room started breathing with me Somewhere in that fragile sound I found the voice I was meant to be.”* *“I'm So Excited”* is a warm, blues-inflected jazz song filled with anticipation, affection, and gratitude. Nadi's expressive vocal is accompanied by piano, upright bass, brushed drums, gentle guitar, and tasteful tenor saxophone, creating the intimate atmosphere of a rainy evening at the Blue Lantern. As she steps onto the familiar stage, Nadi remembers how much courage that first performance required—and how the experience changed her life. What began as a leap of faith has become a feeling of belonging. A song about discovering yourself, overcoming fear, and returning with joy to the place where a dream first came alive. *Written by Joe McMichael* *Performed by Nadi* 🎶 From *Joe McMichael – Songwriter*, a gallery of original songs exploring life, love, music, and the human experience.
