Stop Chasing a Prophetic Word and Start Obeying God

How do we know when God is speaking, and what should we do with a prophetic word? We explore the difference between words of knowledge and prophecy, how to test what we hear against Scripture, and why humility matters when praying for others. Along the way, we talk about anxiety and identity, the reliability of the Bible, church hurt, and healthy leadership. This conversation is an invitation to grow in discernment, obey what God has already said, and trust Him in the ordinary moments of life. In this episode: • Why we can trust Scripture and how ancient manuscripts and Bible translations shape the conversation • An honest discussion about anxiety, emotional reactivity, therapy, and the labels we carry • Church hurt, healthy leadership, and why asking questions and pursuing accountability matter • The purpose of spiritual gifts and the difference between words of knowledge and prophecy • How to pray for others with compassion, simplicity, consent, and room for the Holy Spirit • How to test spiritual impressions, share prophetic words with humility, and avoid forcing major life decisions • Why everyday obedience matters, along with five practical keys for growing in prophetic ministry SPONSORS & SUPPORT This podcast is a nonprofit.
