Disciples' storm (NT, Mark 4): caused by obedience to Christ's direct command; purpose was to deepen faith and reveal who Jesus is. Key warning: Open doors, available finances, and favorable circumstances do not confirm God's will — only the Word of God determines His will. Danger of calloused conscience: Sleeping peacefully while in sin (like Jonah) signals spiritual numbness, not peace. Sin is never private: One person's disobedience affects the entire household, church, or community around them. Storm response: Ask why you are in the storm before praying for it to stop; deal with the root "Jonah" issue first. Outcome of obedient storms: Disciples reached the other side with a bigger revelation of Christ — storms in obedience never end in despair. Praise before deliverance is the true expression of faith, modeled by Jonah confessing "salvation is of the Lord" inside the fish.
