Yasser Latif Hamdani is a barrister of England and Wales and an advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. As a prominent lawyer, he played a key role in the legal battle that led to YouTube being unbanned in Pakistan. He has also worked extensively on cases advocating freedom of religion, particularly on behalf of Pakistan's minority communities. He was a visiting fellow at Harvard Law School, where he studied the constitutional and legal persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan, drawing comparisons with the 19th-century persecution of Mormons in the United States. He is the author of Jinnah: A Life, published internationally by Pan Macmillan and locally by Lightstone, as well as Jinnah: Myth and Reality, published by Vanguard, Lahore. Hamdani is a regular columnist for Daily Times, The Friday Times, and The Print India, and has contributed to prominent publications such as The Hindu, Dawn, and India Today. He is currently based in Atlanta, the largest city in the U.S. state of Georgia. Contrary to popular belief in Pakistan, he asserts that "Ghazi" Ilm Din (1908–1929), a Lahore-based carpenter, denied murdering Mahashe Rajpal for publishing the book Rangila Rasul and even filed a mercy petition with the British Crown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilm-ud-Din ************************************ Shakil Chaudhary is a journalist, author, and researcher. He is an alumnus of Government College, Lahore. Subsequently, he studied international relations at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and media at the London School of Economics. He has worked for several English-language newspapers. He has written a critically acclaimed bilingual book, Handbook of Functional English (Ferozsons), to help those who wish to improve their English skills. Prof. Tariq Rahman, one of the finest linguistic scholars in South Asia, has praised it in these words: “This book is an excellent guide for the South Asian user of the English language. It gives examples of both the British and American varieties of English and provides guidelines to avoid the common errors of most Pakistanis when they write and speak English. It is also a comprehensive guide for pronunciation, vocabulary, editing, and all other aspects of English usage. It has been written with great care and attention. I recommend it to students, editors, writers, and other users of English in Pakistan.” Shakil has conducted many workshops on communication, writing, and critical thinking skills. He is a former president of the Progressive Writers Association, Islamabad (2021-2022).
