Final Score: 47 million Final level: 206 Player: emperoring360 Played on the Steam release of Psyvariar Delta. For a lark, I decided to have a go at Psyvariar's Delta mode, which is an arrange of the game with new enemy placements and thicker bullet patterns. I am largely unused to this mode and its routing, so I decided to throw caution to the wind and play as Psyvariar Delta's special new character, Blanche! The mech Blanche was the star of her (his?) own shmup, Cybattler, released by Jaleco in the 90s. It's a great game whose mechanics might not work entirely with Psyvariar, but I'll be damned if Blanche isn't fun to play. I was not taking things to seriously, but even with that, I almost clinched the requirement for the secret final level, X-D, and fighting the true final boss of the game, Gluon (you need to be level 218). If only! Still, I am really happy I managed to snag a 1cc of this game despite losing a life early on due to carelessness. Blanche as a lot of leeway thanks to her recharging shield, which lets you take some more risks. The sword melee attack may be a little unwieldly, but it shreds apart bosses in seconds, so for those looking to easily beat the easier routes through the game, Blanche is your robot!~
