Impossible Places: 15 alien wonders on Earth that actually exist. A cave with its own jungle and its own clouds. A salt flat that turns into a mirror. Lakes in the middle of a desert. A hot spring painted by living microbes.
This is our countdown of the 15 most impossible places on the planet, and the science of how nature made each one. Every location in this impossible places countdown is real. None of them were built by people, none of them are computer effects, and every shot is licensed footage of the place we are actually talking about, including Son Doong, filmed inside the cave itself.
We built this impossible places documentary from primary sources: UNESCO World Heritage, the US National Park Service, NASA Earth Observatory and peer-reviewed research. Where two sources disagreed, we say so on screen instead of picking the more dramatic number.
If you like impossible places like these, subscribe and turn on the bell. A new journey lands on this channel every week.
